Doing what I love and loving what I'm doing.

I have been doing wreaths and working with flowers for many years. I was inspired by my aunt who owned a florist. For many years I made wreaths for myself, friends and family. Weddings, door wreaths and even funeral arrangements.
In 2011 I left my office job to stay at home with my 4 year old son. Jacob was born with Down Syndrome and a severe heart condition and taking care of him was my top priority.
I found myself wanting to do more after he started to school. Daily house chores and hauling kids around just wasn't enough for me.
So I started making wreaths to sell from my Facebook page. My dining room was a mess and I had taken over half of our sun-room. The other half was Jacob's play area and he was not about to give this up.
In January of 2015 we began converting our garage into my shop. I knew that this was a business that I wanted to flourish.
March 25, 2015 my 7 year old son Jacob passed away due to complications from a heart cath. To say our lives were shattered is an understatement. There simply are no words to describe as a parent the emotions that follow losing a child.
My husband was determined to finish the shop and get me going again.
With the help of my sister and by the grace of God I am back to making wreaths once more. So I am relatively new to ETSY. I think it is a wonderful outlet to share my craft and to make friends along the way.
I love making wreaths each one unique in there own way. I hope that you will find something that you love and will allow me to make your door "A Sassy Door"
